A Community Reinvestment Project · West Louisville
Community-equity share of ~15%, or local hiring/ownership target
Cali Park District is a community-driven, mixed-use redevelopment project located in the historic California neighborhood of West Louisville. The project transforms a former church campus into a multi-purpose economic and cultural hub designed to address food access, small business growth, early childhood education, and neighborhood revitalization. The district now features eight revenue streams, including a Food Hall anchor restaurant, Lou Orleans (a CPD-owned New Orleans dining and live music concept), Food Hall stalls, STEM-forward Child Development Center, a Dental Office, Elder Primary-Care Walk-In Clinic, Business Suites, and the AI Café (West Louisville’s first community AI & innovation center).
This is not just a real estate project — it is a community reinvestment model built to create ownership, opportunity, and long-term economic impact in an underserved area.
The Cali Park District draws inspiration from the history of the California neighborhood, originally named during the Gold Rush era as a place of opportunity and new beginnings. The project reintroduces that same spirit by becoming:
Lou Orleans (Bayous By You) is our CPD-owned. New Orleans restaurant located in the former sanctuary. Expect bold cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, live music, and a cultural experience that honors our roots and elevates our future.
The Cali Park District directly addresses food deserts in West Louisville, a lack of access to quality childcare, limited opportunities for small business ownership, and underutilized real estate in historic neighborhoods.
Reinvest a portion of every dollar back into West Louisville initiatives.
